For the first time, the interim government of Bangladesh lead by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Yunus and Chief Marketing Officer of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) have taken an innovative approach to attract foreign investments by building confidence in the investors. To foster the country’s investment landscape, BIDA organized Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, the first and largest investment summit organized by the country.

As part of the summit, a key competition and award entitled “Excellence in Investment Award” was distributed to some of the key business entities and individuals who had a significant impact in raising investments. KPMG Bangladesh served as a strategic partner for the program and conducted the key assessments alongside the Jury to finalize the awardees. AC Niloy served as the Team in-Charge and Senior Consultant for the highly valued award ceremony.

The Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, themed “Bangladesh Calling: A Gateway to High-Growth Investment Opportunities,” was a major four-day event held from April 7–10, 2025, at the InterContinental Dhaka. Jointly organized by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), it aimed to restore investor confidence following political shifts and position the country as a competitive global investment hub.

The summit focused on five priority sectors: Renewable Energy, Digital Economy, Textile & Apparel, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, and Agro-Processing. The program was a high-priority national project that AC Niloy alongside the KPMG Bangladesh team brilliantly pulled off.

The summit attracted over 2,300 participants from 50 countries, including 550+ foreign investors. The event generated over BDT 3,100 crore ($260 million) in immediate investment pledges. Notable agreements included:
